Spordilaagri eesmärk on tuua kokku noored huvilised vanuses 18-30, et üheskoos võtta ette rattamatk ning seeläbi toetada keskkonnasäästliku ja tervisliku eluviisi mõttelaadi. Projekt toimub Erasmus+ programmi toel ning noortevahetuse kontseptsiooni raames.

Projekti rahastatakse Euroopa Liidu struuktuurfondi Erasmus+ programmi vahenditest. Reisikulud kaetakse 360€ ulatuses ning projekti ajal on majutus, toitlustus ja kõik tegevused osalejale tasuta.
General information and description of the project
The Youth Exchange “Cycling For Recycling” is organized by cultural association “Aydinites Association” in Aydin, Turkey, during the period of 22.09.2019 – 29.09.2019, including 30 participants and five members from each country(four participants + group leader).
The youth exchange takes place between 22 of September til 29’th of September 2019 in Turkey, whereas you may arrive and departure two days priorly or after.
The youth exchange will bring together 30 young people aged 18-30 from 7 countries (Poland, Romania, Slovakia, Lithuania, Estonia, Turkey and Spain) for 6 days. The competencies we intend to acquire participants in this mobility are not directly related to a particular field, being multidisciplinary. The methods used are based on non-formal education and will make the transition from the information received to the transmitted information, with emphasis on the process of learning and awareness of the acquired competencies.
Aims and goals of the project
Cycling for recycling is a project based on awareness-raising about sustainable living through emplacing the importance of recycling and sustainable transportation via bicycle. The project simply aims to raise awareness in particularly in Aydın province and then Turkey and Europe about the importance of recycling and the usage of a bicycle as a healthy and environment-friendly transportation vehicle.
The project is based on non-formal education and participatory approach. Learning is based on activities that allow implementing a non-formal education strategy that includes non-formal learning objectives related to the themes. All activities are directly related to the goals, through a participatory approach, the contextualization of concepts, skills enhancement, the development of ability. In particular, during the exchange will be development activities related to group work, reflection group, presentation skills, communication with local people and local administrations, campaigning, multimedia, creativity development, handcrafting, and definitely sporting, sightseeing.
The actions proposed in the project enable participants to learn:
• To enable young people express their thoughts and actions on sustainable living, take a part for their essential role in the society
• To create difference and influence local people on solutions to local/international problems, directing their attention and create awareness;
• To get more informed on environmental issues;
• To get acquainted with local media and involve, deliberate speech at the press conference;
• To raise awareness through leadership and campaigning, advocacy activities
• To transmit and share the knowledge with other people from different countries and cultures.
During the 6 days exchange, young people and their group leaders from different parts of Europe, participants will involve themselves in raising awareness activities in the Aydin province and its city centres and rural areas such as, collecting recycling materials, visiting municipalities, campaigning in the city centers, and participating to a panel discussion with local youth, sharing the best practices in their countries concerning environment and discuss EU policies of youth and environment, exhibitions, intercultural night party, sightseeing and visiting to Pamukkale, Kusadasi ancient cities Aphrodisias Ephesus and Didyma.
It is expected that this project will enable participants will also empower their ability to influence local people and local decision makers create a difference, increase their knowledge on environmental subjects and EU policies, learn from each other, get acquainted with Turkish- Aegean culture.
In this project, we will be cycling from Bozdoğan to Didim. While cycling, we will pick up garbage for recycling. During the project, we have break times for informative activities. At intercultural night; folk dances and folk music, our traditional costumes and traditional foods will be introduced. On the last day, we will create a sculpture with collected garbage in the city centre Didim and announce your declaration on sustainable living from the perspective of European youngsters.
The project will start in Nazilli district of Aydın and finish in Didim district of Aydın. We will be moving by our bikes to another town each day from East to West side of Aydin Province.
Participants profile
30 youngsters who are between 18-25 years old belonging to partner organizations, involved, interested and motivated to participate in the project. Participants are people who fit the criteria mentioned. In the selection phase, people presenting the unemployed profile will have the highest priority. In addition, in the respect of equal opportunities, gender balance will be guaranteed. Having an interest in the project’s topic is mandatory – it’s not a holiday!
- All participants have to be over 18 years old as otherwise, they cannot participate in the project.
- All participants should speak and understand English.
- Participants should be curious about discovering other cultures.
- Participants should be interested in making follow up international projects.
Hosting organization
Aydinites Association, which aims at solidarity and cohesion among Aydinites living in Ankara was established in 1992. Our Association brings together our fellows with different activities and in order to increase the unity and cooperation. At the same time, our association cooperates with the public and non-governmental organizations in Aydın and acts as a bridge between Aydın and Ankara. We have officially 890 members and has capacity to reach a network in Ankara nearly 3500 people and 256000 people of living in the Aydin province. We provide scholarship to university students studying in Ankara.
Aydinities Association is open to the participation of all people who carry the passion for Aydin and Aegean culture. We know that our fellows deserve better thus we are always ready to increase our efforts to perform effectively with better results. We are eager to introduce Aydin-Aegean culture to the world and support our fellows to embrace the world better.
Our vision is achieving solidarity and cohesion among our fellows, supporting them skills and knowledge development based capacity building activities and acting as a bridge between the people living in Aydın and Ankara.
Responsibilities
Each participant should have valid health insurance (for example European Health Card) and travel insurance during the whole participation in the project. Also, participants must have during the youth exchange the travel documents: identity card/passport.
Each national group will have the occasion to present their country, culture, customs and traditions to all participants. You can bring food, drinks, songs and other traditional things specific to your country. Participants must prepare a presentation of the sending organization which will be presented during the workshop Networking. So bring with you material about your organization (brochures, flyers, etc.). Avatud Ühiskond MTÜ will assist you with that. For the project, each national group should prepare brief research about the project topic. Avatud Ühiskond will be able to help with that as well – we are going to have a preparatory meeting in Estonia with the whole group and the group leader has the possibility to attend the advanced preparatory meeting.
Relevant information:
The Erasmus + Programme will cover 100% of the accommodation, food and activities and will reimburse 100% of the travel costs for the participants – up to 530 euros. There will be a participation fee of 100€ per participant and 50€ for the group leader.
Participants will receive a “Youthpass” certificate which describes and validates the non-formal and informal learning experience gained during the project. Youthpass is a European recognition tool for non-formal and informal learning in youth work, developed by SALTO, initially for the Youth in Action programme. Youthpass is for projects funded by Erasmus+ youth programmes and helps the participants of those projects to record their learning and skills development, which could then be used to support job applications or applications for further courses for example. The applicants will be notified 10.04.2019 the latest.
