Koolitus: “Digital skills for youth workers”
Asukoht: Campina, Rumeenia
Toimumise 21.10.2018 – 29.10.2018
Saatvaks organisatsiooniks on Avatud Ühiskond MTÜ.
Korduma kippuvate küsimustega on võimalik tutvuda siin. Kõikide küsimustega võib meie poole pöörduda eesti keeles: info@uhiskond.ee
General information and description of the project
The training course “DIGITAL SKILLS FOR YOUTH WORKERS” is organized by „Association Together Romania” in Campina, Romania, during the period of 21.10.2018 – 29.8.2018, including 27 participants and three team members from 9 countries.
Our project consists of using software and tools in order to provide skills for graphic facilitation. There are several advantages in using graphic facilitation, the most important will be reusable of visual elements that form the visual vocabulary, the small costs compared to the materials printed on hard materials and the big capacity of promotion in an offline and online environment.
Graphical facilitation can be used as a visual language since it is common even for cultures with different verbal languages and can be used as language barrier breaker for intercultural groups. Visual facilitation is highly helpful for people who process information visually. All the organizations involved have little competences in graphic facilitation, so this project is a commune need of the youth workers and a need of all partners. The project will have a European dimension using training exchanges as a tool for improving the skills of youth workers from 9 countries, for digital skills and presentations but it has also a local one, after the project, in local high schools by participants together with the teachers or other youth workers (multiplying the results) to put in practice the skills improved/developed, but also to make familiar the teachers with this method as an alternative to be used in near future for lessons. So, based on commune needs identified, the project will contribute to solving 2 main aspects: first is to make graphics facilitation more familiar to youth workers so they can use this method in their work (projects, activities, youth centres, etc.) and second is to bring this method to local level, as the first step by participants in order to be promoted and to see the advantages of it and in the second step to transfer it to other possible users.
Aims and goals of the project
The methodology will include;
- communication-based methods (interaction, dialogue, open discussions),
- activity based methods (sharing experience, practice and experimentation),
- socially focused methods (partnerships, teamwork, networking),
- self-directing methods (creativity, discovery, responsibility, action).
The aims of the project are
- To increase the level of knowledge about youth participation, and civic life;
- To increase the level of knowledge about lobby and advocacy in the topic of digital skills of youth workers;
- To strengthen the abilities of youth workers to choose, adapt and implement new non-formal education methods for motivating and encourage youth participation in civic life;
- To create space for youth workers to conceive and develop project drafts on the topic of youth participation and civic life;
- To foster professional and personal development of youth workers.
