Saatvaks organisatsiooniks on Avatud Ühiskond MTÜ. Koolituse eesmärk on tuua kokku üliõpilased, noored, vabatahtlikud, õpetajad, õppejõud, koolitajad, õpipoisid, noorsootöötajad, ja haridustöötajad, et arutada ühiselt kuidas toetada noorte isiksuste enesehinnangut- ja kindlust läbi muusikaga seonduvate õpimeetodite. Osaleja peab olema vähemalt 18 aastane ning vanuse ülempiir puudub.

Õpiränne on üheks programmi Euroopa Noored kandvaks ja arendavaks jõuks, sest selle kaudu kujundatakse tulevikku silmas pidades noorsootöö kvaliteeti. See toimub peamiselt läbi rahvusvahelise kogemustevahetuse ning noorsootöötajate täiendkoolituse, aga ka rahvusvaheliste võrgustike ja partnerlussuhete arengu toetamise. Noorsootöötajate õpirände kaudu edendatakse väga erinevaid tegevusvorme – alates diskussioonidest Euroopa noorsoopoliitika päevakorralistel teemadel ja lõpetades konkreetsete projektide teostuseks vajalike partnerlussuhete arendamisega.

Noorsootöötajate osalus õpirändes panustab samuti organisatsiooni tegevussuutlikkuse arengusse.

Aastal 2018 pööratakse Erasmus+ programmis erilist tähelepanu noorsootöötajate pädevuste arendamisele ja meetodite jagamisele, mis aitavad edasi anda meie ühiskonna põhiväärtusi ja ära hoida noorte radikaliseerumist.

General information and description of the project

The training course “Find you(th) creativity” is on 10-18 november 2019 in Camar, Romania, including four team members from Estonia.

Exploring how to use Music, Reciprocal Maieutic Approach and New Media as educational tools and methods of youth work to foster self-confidence and self-esteem of young people with cultural differences and enrich their competences in order to make them more competitive in the labour market.

The overall aim of the training course is to train youth workers, youth leaders for supporting young people with cultural differences scaling up their potential and employability through the Reciprocal Maieutic Approach (RMA). For this reason, sharing and exploring various methods and practical activities to take action using music in new and innovative ways and employing new media as ICT into diffusing their creations. Being able to support self-confidence and self – esteem of young people with cultural differences through music and RMA in order to enter into the labour market such as the creative industry.

SZIT (Youth Organization in Salaj county) is a non-profit organization, which was founded in 2006, it was run on voluntary basis. Our mission is to empower young people and promote their interests. Promote the increased participation of young people in society. We are organizing a lot of events: trainings, forums with different issues (education, agricultural, interethnic relations, cultural diversity), and a music festival yearly. Our goals are: to promotes volunteering in our communities, to combating intolerance between genders, religions, origin, skin colour, to create an active, responsible young community. We have more than thirty volunteers, and they represent a strong base for the future, they will continue to work for our goals. Our biggest event is the YouthFest, that we are organizing every year, where more than 1000 youngsters take place. In the event there is also a conference where we deal with hot topics, like the relationship between minority and majority, the role of minorities in the society, youth unemployment.

Learning objectives and needs of the training course are:

• To share and explore youth work methods that aims to particularly at growing young people with cultural differences’ self-esteem and feeling of belonging to society, increasing the confidence promoting music as an attractive asset and transforming their interest in music into employability skills;

• To empower youth workers, youth leaders and youth work organisations developing new working methods, tools and materials based on non-formal education and experimenting with music as an educational pedagogical tool.

• To being capable for boosting young people with cultural differences’ employability and self – confidence by using their own music traditions to discover their roots as a starting point for their professional and personal development and active participation in their societies;

• To initiate local and European youth projects through music and RMA according to the proposals of Erasmus+ programme;

• To establish a European platform for cooperation among youth organisations in order to promote cultural heritage through music and boosting employment opportunities of young people with cultural differences in the creative sector

The training will be based on non-formal educational methodology, especially using and practising RMA. The Reciprocal Maieutic Approach (RMA) is a dialectic method of inquiry and «popular self-analysis» for the empowerment of communities and individuals that was put into practice by Dolci from the 50s onwards. It can be defined as a “process of collective exploration that takes, as a departure point, the experience and the intuition of individuals” (Dolci, 1996). The RMA was developed by Danilo Dolci from the Socratic concept of Maieutic. It derives from the ancient Greek «μαιευτικός», pertaining to midwifery: every act of educating is like giving birth to the full potential of the learner who wants to learn, as a mother wants her child to emerge from her. What differentiates both concepts is the fact that Socrates’ Maieutic was unidirectional, while for Danilo Dolci the concept of knowledge comes from experience and a reciprocal relationship is necessary.

RMA, as practised by Danilo Dolci, is therefore based on asking, exploring, and shared creativity. As the name says, RMA is a “reciprocal” process between at least two persons and it is normally done inside a group, with one person asking questions and others giving answers. In an intense dialogue that incarnates a new way of educating based on the valorisation of individual and group creativity, the maieutic process focuses on the ability of individuals to discover their vital interests and freely express thoughts based on personal experience and discovery. The maieutic workshop requires individuals to question themselves, to reveal themselves to others, and to undertake a journey of joint discovery, analysis, experimentation, and collective creative education. The training will be held by experienced international trainers’ team.

Who can participate in the training course:

✓ Youth workers, youth leaders who directly work with young people with different cultural backgrounds e.g. refugees, migrants, foreign kids, young people coming home from other countries, minorities, Roma young people, etc.
✓ Youth workers, youth leaders who have already run at least one international youth project experience, preferably youth exchange, or were already group leaders in youth exchange;
✓ Having organisational support for further cooperation;
✓ Open to recognise own stereotypes and prejudices and work on these;
✓ Willing to adapt intercultural education into their youth work realities based on the needs of their target groups;
✓ Ready to take part in the whole project;
✓ To be able to communicate English language.

Project venue: Camar, Romania

The training course will be hosted in Pensiunea Fort Silvan, which is located in Camăr. Please note that you should arrive to ZALAU, we will arrange your transport from Zalau to Camar. In the accommodation 3-4 participants are going to be accommodated in one room, and will share bathroom. Food will be arranged by the organizers, there will be three meals every day: breakfast, lunch and dinner.

The project takes palce in Camăr (Hungarian: Kémer)which is a commune located in Sălaj County, Romania. It is composed of two villages, Camăr and Pădureni (Erdőaljarakottyás).  At the 2002 census, 91.7% of inhabitants were Hungarians, 6.4% Romanians and 1.9% Roma. 68.4% were Reformed, 12.6% Baptist, 5.1% each Greek-Catholic and Christian Evangelical, 4.5% Seventh-day Adventist, 1.9% Pentecostal, 1.3% Romanian Orthodox and 0.8% Roman Catholic.

The Erasmus + Programme will cover 100% of the accommodation, food and activities and will reimburse 100% of the travel costs for the participants – up to 275 euros.
