What are youth exchanges?
Youth exchanges bring together groups of young people from several countries, providing them with an opportunity to discuss and confront various themes while learning about each others’ countries and cultures. Youth exchanges take place outside the school environment. During a youth exchange, you can expect to participate in activities such as workshops, exercises, debates, role-plays, outdoor activities and more. Youth exchanges are open to all people between the ages of 13 and 30. The primary focus of a youth exchange is to learn and understand more about other cultures.
Summary of the project
The European Union is a global power that provides guidance to the world in several matters. Having great importance especially in economic and social terms, the European Union carries out restorative activities in order to improve its own structures. Reducing of unemployment people numbers, stopping poverty and marginalization has very big importance in 2020 targets of European Union.
Increasing of business options has a very important point to achieve these goals. Because more business options would bring more worker needs. The key to this process needs more entrepreneurs. This is the main point of the project which we would like to organize this project.
Our city Aydın faces a serious unemployment problem although it is one of the biggest cities and has serious investments in Turkey. The fact that the unemployment of young people is only slightly lower than the average of Turkey increases the importance of the necessary things about this situation. Turkey Statistics Institute January 2017 report, the youth unemployment rate in Turkey has reached 21.2%. This figure was announced as 19.2% in 2016.
Main goals of our Project are increasing the number of young people and young entrepreneurs who also have developed key competencies. We planned to organize our project between 21-29 March in Aydın. These dates are suitable for cooperation with University and at the same time, these dates are more available to manage best trip plan and accommodation options.
We have included all the creative and learning activities based on the project. In our project, we will have presentations, research, reports, planning. We also used computer techniques. We also planned to do physical activities, cultural activities and much more. We placed “young people” on the basis of the project and planned everything for them. We determined project partners related their activities about entrepreneurship and youth field. Our project partners will be Estonia, Greece, Portugal, Bulgaria, Portugal and Slovakia.
We used the entrepreneurial strategy report in Europe. It is expected the result of the Project that young people will appear with more talents about entrepreneurship and understand the process of it. At the same time, societies from Europe will understand the importance of entrepreneurship better.
Relevant information:
The Erasmus + Programme will cover 100% of the accommodation, food and activities and will reimburse 100% of the travel costs for the participants – up to 360 euros. Participants will receive a “Youthpass” certificate which describes and validates the non-formal and informal learning experience gained during the project, to be attached to the CV.
